Joining the NBA in 1988, the Charlotte Hornets quickly rose to fame after defeating the newly rising Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in their first season. After a brief stint in New Orleans and a name change to the Bobcats, the Charlotte Hornets officially returned at the end of the 2014 season.
