The Michigan Wolverines first played in the 1908-09 season however the team was terminated due to lack of student body attendence until 1917. The team competes in the Big Ten conference and has seen many successes both within the NCAA and players being drafted into the NBA. 61 players have gone on to play in the NBA with five becoming NBA champions. To this date, the Wolverines have won one NCAA Championship, two National Invitation Tournaments, 14 Big Ten Conference titles and two Big Ten Tournament titles. They are currently coached by Juwan Howard.
