Rasheed Wallace joined the Trail Blazers after spending his rookie season in Washington with the Bullets. It was in Portland that Wallace established himself as a superstar. He was named to two All Star Games while a member of the Blazers in 2000 and 2001. In the 1999-00 season the Philadelphia native led the team in scoring with 16.4 points per game and was second in rebounds with 7.0 per game. Wallace spent seven seasons in Portland. His passion and intensity made him a favourite of the fans, but of the referees, maybe not so much. The Trailblazers were founded in Portland in 1970 and are the only NBA team based in the bi-national Pacific Northwest.
